Introduction to Entrepreneurship

An entrepreneur finds a need people have and creates a way to meet it, taking on risk for the sake of the result.

Who an entrepreneur is

An entrepreneur organizes resources, creates a product or service and takes on risk for profit. Unlike an employee, they answer for the result.

The business idea

An idea is born from a problem or a need: what is inconvenient, expensive or unavailable for people. A good idea solves a real customer pain.

Risk and responsibility

An entrepreneur risks time and money — there are no guarantees. But it is the readiness for sensible risk and persistence that move the venture forward.
